Quality Performance Tutus
The classical tutu skirt is made with nine layers of tightly-gathered, diamond-shaped net sewn to a power-net panty. Additional seat ruffles and elastic leg-casings with adjustable elastic complete the panty. The skirt ruffles are graduated in length from shortest on the bottom to a top layer of 11 to 19 inches, depending on the height of the dancer or preference of the choreographer. The ruffled panty is hand-sewn to a custom-built basque that is secured around the dancer’s hips by adjustable hooks and bars. The skirt attaches to the bodice with elastic tethers.
The construction of this tutu is similar to that of the classical tutu except that tulle rather than net is used and the hoop is omitted, giving the skirt a softer silhouette.
The romantic skirt is made with four layers of gathered soft tulle attached to a custom-built basque around the hip area. The tulle layers are attached in rows descending from the waist. The length of the skirt may be calf to ankle-length, depending on the height of the dancer or preference of the choreographer. The skirt attaches to the bodice with elastic tethers.
This slenderizing skirt is made with four layers of gathered soft tulle layered on an extended custom-built basque over the hip area. The skirt attaches to the bodice with elastic tethers.
